BLIND CAVE FISH SYSTEMS

In august 2024, four identical RAS units for husbandry and reproduction of blind cave fish (Astyanax mexicanus) were installed at the University of Munster in Germany. Each of the systems consisting of 18 glass aquaria with a volume of 35 liters each on a stainless steel rackwith dedicated filtration unit and monitoring and control . Each system is completely temperature controlled using either heating or cooling and receives fully conditioned water from the water preparation and storage unit.
